46 Dlp Hdtv Toshiba Is Larger Than Life

High Definition or HD is Where the Magic Happens

Toshiba is a pride of Japan and 46 Dlp Hdtv Toshiba is a jewel in the use of Digital Light Processing technology for HD Television. Japanese have always come up with something novel in all their products since the World War II. Among their success is their ability to produce consumer electronic items at down to earth prices.

This forty six inch television produced by Toshiba combines the high definition or HD compatibility with Texas Instrument’s Digital Light Processing technology, commonly known as DLP, to produce a marvellous television which is lighter in weight and will fit in to much lesser space than that is required by a conventional forty six inches TV.

Another beauty of this model is that the speakers are placed on either side to enable the viewer to enjoy quality sound effects.

The audio system is complimented with two twenty watt speakers.

These speakers are adjustable for bass, treble, balance and sound mode. The surround sound could be stimulated while automatically maintaining a steady level of sound. Voice tones could also be amplified.

Further, this model also offers a choice of three screen colour adjustments. The colours could be adjusted to your choice of warm, medium or cool.

The screen resolution of 1280 x 720 makes it possible to view razor sharp images while a 3 dimensional Y/C comb filter prevents sound distortions. There are also four widescreen modes which can be easily adjusted when you want to switch watching a game of tennis or other sports, movies and other normal programmes to suit your liking.

The Toshiba’s 46HM84 Digital Light Processing DLP TV is fitted with split screen, “picture in picture” and “picture out of picture” viewing. With this feature the viewer can watch one programme intently while monitoring another.   The input accesses are kept along the side of the TV cabinet out of the view of the viewer.

There are also individual settings available for day and night viewing. A two level mute, return to the previous channel, memory for video input settings are also included in this TV. Another useful feature added in this television is the availability of a sleep timer.

This is very useful when you are watching a programme while in bed and half dozed. You can time it in such a way that the TV will go to sleep while you too go to sleep knowingly or unknowingly. The remote control is programmed to operate a Video Cassette Recorder, Cable box, DVD player and Satellite TV system – all available for control by sliding a button.

  • The only feature that may be lacking in Toshiba’s 46HM84 is the absence of a “Cable Card” slot or ATSC tuner.
  • Hence, a cable box or HD tuner will be needed to watch cable and High Definition materials.
  • Still there is consolation in the availability of many inputs where you can add all what you may require with two RF inputs,
  • three Audio or Video inputs,
  • two S Video inputs, two component video inputs and HDMI interface.
  • External speakers may also be connected to the television using the audio/video inputs provided. dlp panasonic projector
